Fifty-two kilometres,
under Hudson Bay Mountain.

The Bulkley Valley Cross Country Ski Club is a not-for-profit society. It operates the BV Nordic Centre on Crown land, under a partnership agreement with Recreation Sites & Trails BC — 52 km groomed for skate and classic, and a biathlon range of its own.

Registration for the 2026 – 2027 season opens mid-October.

The 2026 – 2027 season

Registration opens in mid-October

That is the club's own line: registration for the coming season opens mid-October. It is the single most useful sentence on the whole site, so it is the loudest thing on it — and it is written in one place, so that a volunteer can change the date and the fee table each summer without touching anything else.

Fees on this site
2025 – 2026

The club named a month, not a day. The counter runs to 15 October 2026 because that is the middle of it — our arithmetic, not a date the club has announced. Every fee shown anywhere on this site is last season's published schedule.

Out on the snow

One network, groomed both ways, with a range at the end of it

Fifty-two kilometres, set for skate and classic. A clubhouse, a caretaker cabin, a wax hut and a timing hut. A concrete underpass beneath Hudson Bay Mountain Road so the network is not cut in two. And a biathlon range, with its own cabin, out to the west.

  • Both

    Skate and classic

The whole 52 km is groomed for skate and for classic — not one or the other.

  • Range

    Biathlon

A biathlon range with its own cabin, west of the main facility. The club hosts races through the season.

  • Under

    The road underpass

A concrete underpass carries the trails beneath Hudson Bay Mountain Road.

  • Warm

    Clubhouse and wax hut

A clubhouse, a caretaker cabin and a wax hut — somewhere to change, wax and thaw out.

  • Race

    Timing hut

A timing hut on site, which is what lets a volunteer club run a real race.

Who does all this

A not-for-profit society, running a nordic centre on Crown land

The club is a registered not-for-profit society, and the BV Nordic Centre sits on Crown land under a partnership agreement with Recreation Sites & Trails BC.

There is no company behind this and no owner to invoice. Trails, buildings, coaching, biathlon and the membership roll are carried by people from the valley who ski here themselves. That is why a season pass costs what it does — and why the fees on this site are last season's, not a price a sales team set.

Where to send what

The club publishes three inboxes, and no individual names. So neither does this concept.

Passes

A whole winter on 52 km, for the price of a couple of lift days

A season pass and a membership are two separate things here, and both are cheapest as an early bird. Children eight and under ski the season for nothing. There is also a “super supporter” rate for anyone who wants to pay more than they have to.

Read this first

Every price on this concept site is the 2025–2026 schedule — last season's. It is shown here to demonstrate the layout, not to quote you a fee for the coming winter. The 2026–2027 fees are published when registration opens.

Registration opens mid-October

That is the date everything else waits on. When it comes round, the new fee table and the new opening date are the only two things on this site that need changing — which is deliberate, and is most of the point of building it this way.
